Large Looks, Small Spaces

Staging a home or apartment is important whether it is hitting the market as your new listing or being offered for rent. Visualizing living spaces in empty homes often leaves so much to the imagination that buyers or renters alike become overwhelmed with options regarding space. We have shown plenty of examples on our temporary stagings for our Realtor® clients, but recently we have had the opportunity to show off some model apartments with permanent installs.

Renting a property may feel restricting due to typical rules that limit painting, lighting, and carpet options… all while being cautious on the number of nails you put in the walls. As stagers, we mark a space with as little physical evidence we were there as possible. With rentals we are given a great opportunity to play with textures, colors, and lighting that doesn’t require electrical installation. One of the largest take-aways from these installs is that you can transform a space without permanently altering it. Large rugs, complimentary art pieces, and layering accessories make a space feel full and comfortable in person and in photos. An overwhelming amount- 83%, according to recent statistics- of potential tenants say that staging allows them to visualize a property as a potential home.

Additionally, over 80% of potential residents say that they already have an idea of what they’re looking for in a home before they visit a property. These expectations can make or break the option to sign a lease. With permanent staging you can ensure that your model home or apartment is approachable for your target market, photographs well for online content, and the layout makes sense for in-person showings. This combined effort will bring in people from multiple sources and get you top value for the property!
